Born and raised in Germany, Anne became a Kindergarten teacher and also obtained a certificate to be a Kindergarten Principal. In 1986, she met her husband in Canada and immigrated to British Columbia.

In 1988, she trained two years with St. Nicholas Montessori, based in London England, attending the Coquitlam branch. Anne holds a Montessori Teaching Diploma for 2 ½ – 5 year old children and a Montessori Teaching Diploma for Elementary School Children. Anne has taught both levels for three years consecutively.

After raising and homeschooling her son, Anne returned to teaching.

In 2010, she obtained the Orton Gillingham Tutor Training Certificate and in 2011, the Orton Gillingham Math Training Certificate, along with the Independent Teaching Certificate for Special Education in British Columbia.

Anne has been teaching in the Learning Assistance Program at St. Thomas More Collegiate for nine years.
